Harriet’s muse - 'Dresser of Curiosities'
(Business Networking Event)
When:  10th March 2009
Where:  University for the Creative Arts

Like any new creative business, Harriet's muse have made mistakes along the way and have been faced with a great many problems to solve. Among the things they talked about were the ins and outs of invoicing and payment procedures for creative businesses, as they have had various interesting negotiations with clients, from high street multiples to nightclubs and private clients.

Voted as one of the Top 500 Cool Brands, as published in The Observer this year, fashion designers and manufacturers Harriet’s muse strive to maintain brand awareness and are consequently, in their own words, 'maturing with gusto'.  Partners Craig Spellar and Cheryl Partington consider brand awareness to be the fundamental draw to a strong and loyal customer base but in spite of this, the Harriet’s muse brand has been developed from a marvel of unconventional but notable product: a monochromatic ensemble of cheeky nonsense. Harriet’s muse recognises a desire for playful decadence and ultimate feminization and for this reason they are acknowledged for capturing the intense beauty of the female silhouette.  The designers are unapologetic about their historic hedonistic references, effortlessly adapting these observations to contemporary silhouettes and equally naughty prints.
